Most Bollywood stars encourage their children to join Bollywood as soon as possible, which is why nepotism is becoming such a growing problem for the industry. However, it seems that one particular star is on a slightly different wavelength when it comes to his children’s acting careers.
Saif Ali Khan is a little nervous about his daughter Sara Khan’s Bollywood debut opposite Sushant Singh. In fact, it won’t be wrong to suggest that Khan would prefer if his daughter chose a different career for herself.
In a recent interview with DNA, Khan opened up: “Fear is the most driving factor in the industry. Why would she want that for herself? Look at where she studied. After having done that, why wouldn’t she want to live and work in New York, rather than do this?” he shared.
“I am not looking down on acting, it’s just it is not the most stable profession. And everyone lives in constant fear. And there is no guarantee that despite doing your best, you will succeed. This is not the life, any parent would want for their children,” he continued.
Khan also went on to say that he has not been involved in deciding or selecting Sara’s first film and it has all been his ex-wife, Amrita Singh’s doing.
